Setting Up the Faxmail Service


If you don't already have a FAXMAIL service number , refer to the Adding a New Number to Your Account article or if you require assistance, please contact

us via COMM SPEC Support Team


If you already have a FAXMAIL service number on your account, simply click on the CloudPBX tab on the top row.


  1. Select the FAXMAIL service number, it will labelled Fax under the Type column
  2. Faxmail Delivery Options allows you enter which email address or addresses your faxes will be sent to, they will be delivered in PDF.
    1. You may choose to use your fax to ring on a standard fax machine via a IP Analogue Device that turns IP into analogue signal.
    2. You may choose to send the faxes to the primary email address on the account, or set it to look at the list below.
    3. Add email addresses that would like to receive faxes.
    4. Select the type of file you will receive the fax in.
  1. Faxmail Sending Options allows you enter which email address or addresses have the ability to send a fax.
    1. Add email addresses of users that require the ability to send a fax via email.
    2. You can also adjust the timers of the faxmail.
    3. For security reasons, you may like to add a verification phrase that is required in the email subject to stop unwanted faxes being sent.
    4. You can add a fax header, this may be your business name, department or even the phone number.

Using the Faxmail Service

To use the Kinnekt Faxmail Service, simply open your email client, select start new email.

Enter the fax number (including the Australian area code) you want to send your PDF document to, then add @faxmail.kinnekt.com.au to the recipient.

612 - ACT/NSW

613 - VIC/TAS

617 - QLD

618 - WA/SA/NT


So a fax to COMM SPEC would look like this:

61261884295@faxmail.kinnekt.com.au


Attach the PDF you want to send.


You will not need to add a subject unless you are using the verification phrase.


You will receive a confirmation or failure email in return.

This can take up to 5 minutes.
